My guess is that you are considering learning how to dance. Great idea !
Here is a little background to let you know that you are in good hands.
I am the owner of Simply Social Dancing.
I started dancing when I was young.
As with most young girls, my mother wanted me to learn how to be graceful.
Background growing up: Ballet, Modern, Jazz, African, & Folk dancing.
I began teaching partner dancing in 1989.
Subsequently, I taught and trained in several dance studios in the New York area,
primarily Dance Charisma, Dancesport and Dance Manhattan.
I competed in Internation Latin and Ballroom, followed by extensive training in
Salsa, Argentine Tango, and West Coast Swing.
Although my background provided a strong technical foundation in several dances,
my focus is on social dancing (not competitive style dance).
I am interested in the one-to-one communication, rather than performing for an audience.
I offer private lessons and classes in Hackensack and Maywood NJ.
I also enjoy working with wedding couples creating a unique dance for their celebration.
Everyone can be expressive and enjoy dancing.
There is the challenge of moving harmoniously with a partner.
Together, you respond to the different rhythms and feeling of the music.
Plus, you have a chance to meet new people in classes and at social gatherings.
I am proud to teach social dancing and watch how it brings enjoyment to the lives of everyday people.

Steve Costic
Steve is teaching our Beginner Salsa Class on Thursday nights.
If you are new to social dancing, this is a great place to start.
Steve taught high school math and computer programming for 41 years.
In addition, he coached track and field.
He started social dancing as a young boy (12 years old) and just never stopped.
He loves to teach and dance and has the patience of a saint.
Perfect for our beginner students !
Steve believes that dance can improve cognitive skills, physical fitness, and keep you feeling young
(plus of course it is fun!).
